A brief history -
The 1960s and 1970s
saw music videos as a feature film tied to albums and singles. This was the
start of music fans craving visuals to go alongside their tunes
Music TV shows like top of the pops were where musicians
promoted their music.
MTV launched 1st august 1981 with the Buggles
video, enabled fans to watch music videos 24 hours a day and offered the artist
to visualise their music
In 2005 YouTube was created by google and in 2009 Vevo was
created for licensing so the music video would in turn make money for the
artist
